Challenge title: rapid re.gen challenge
- The rapid re.gen Challenge is a national initiative by PepsiCo India and the^delta prize (an initiative of AIC NCORE Developmental Impact Foundation) to identify, support, and scale innovative, farmer-centric regenerative agriculture models that enhance soil health and improve farmer livelihoods across India. The Challenge supports solutions implemented in India for the benefit of Indian farming communities.
- The Challenge aims to support solutions that can:
- Double Soil Organic Carbon (“SOC”) within twenty-four (24) months;
- Increase smallholder farmer net incomes by at least twenty-five percent (25%);
- Reach between 5,000 and 10,000 smallholder farmers;
- Cover a minimum of 5,000 hectares under regenerative agriculture transition;
- Demonstrate scalable, technology-enabled and replicable implementation models.
- Applicants must be legally registered nonprofit entities in India (including Section 8 Companies, Trusts, Societies, Civil Society Organizations, or other entities acceptable to the Organizer) with valid CSR-1, 12A, and 80G registrations, have demonstrated experience in agriculture, natural resource management, farmer livelihoods, regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, climate resilience, farmer advisory systems, or related sectors, and may partner with relevant collaborators to implement scalable models.
- Applicants agree that all information submitted will be accurate, complete, and evidence-based, particularly with respect to outcomes, beneficiaries, and implementation experience; that no materially misleading information will be provided; and that the Organizer may seek clarifications at any time, with applications liable to rejection without notice if found materially incomplete or inaccurate.
- Applications may be evaluated through multiple stages, including Application Review, Jury Assessment by a panel of experts for shortlisted applicants, and Due Diligence covering legal, financial, programmatic, and field-level verification.
- The Organizer reserves the right to eliminate applicants at any stage of the process.
- Applications may be assessed based on organizational capability, technical merit, farmer impact, scalability, and measurement readiness.
- All decisions relating to eligibility, selection, funding, evaluation, and awards shall be final and binding, and no correspondence regarding such decisions will be entertained.
- Grant funds must be used solely to advance regenerative farming for soil-health acceleration and improved farmer incomes, in line with the challenge's objectives. Funds may not be diverted to unrelated activities.
- A Grant Utilisation Certificate must be submitted annually for each January-December cycle, accounting for all funds received and deployed.
- Grantees agree to participate in baseline, midline and endline assessments (soil profiling and farmer-economics) and to provide the data, field access and documentation needed to verify impact against the challenge thresholds.
- Grantees agree to share anonymised results and transition-model learnings to support replication and ecosystem benefit, with due credit to the grantee.
- Grants are disbursed in milestone- and outcome-linked tranches (pilot, deployment and scale-up), not as a single upfront payment. Subsequent tranches are contingent on satisfactory progress and reporting.
- Submission of false information, misuse or diversion of funds, or failure to submit the Grant Utilisation Certificate may result in disqualification and forfeiture or clawback of grant amounts.
- Decision of Organizer will be final and binding with regard to Challenge and Prize and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- No cash payment will be made in lieu of the challenge.
- Organizer shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or any other liability arising out of the Challenge or due to participation by any person in the Challenge.
- Organizer shall not be liable for any loss or damage due to Act of God, Governmental actions, other force majeure circumstances and shall not be liable to pay any amount as compensation or otherwise for any such loss.
- All disputes relating to this Challenge shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Courts at Gurugram only. By participating in this Challenge, it is assumed that the Participant has read the terms and conditions and shall be held responsible in case of violation of the same.
